Hangover Hostels Ella is the 4th of its kind under the “Hangover” brand of hostels in Sri Lanka. It is conveniently located within 10 minutes from the Ella railway station and town centre, making it easy to find.

Similar to our Colombo, Mirissa and Airport Hostels, at our Ella hostel we’ve remained true to the Hangover promise of giving backpackers an unforgettable holiday experience and an opportunity to truly find your freedom.

We provide FREE Wi-Fi access so you can stay connected with your friends and family, and also upload the delightful details of your holiday on social media. While the weather in town is pleasing all year round, you’ll also enjoy air conditioning in all the rooms and dorms. Hot water showers are available for you to start your day afresh, or wind down after a day of exploring and trekking.

THE ACCOMMODATION

	10 Bed / 6 Bed / 4 BED MIXED DORM This dorm comes with a large en-suite bathroom. Highspeed WiFi. All beds are cushioned with a 9 inch spring mattress which guarantees a good night sleep. Personal bedside reading lamp, plug point & USB port to charge those essential handheld devises. Individual Lockers that will easily fit in a large backpack. Secure Electronic Key card system to access the dorms. All linen provided and towels can be hired from the reception. Bathroom has high pressure hot water shower cubicles. Daily housekeeping staff.
4 BED FEMALE ONLY DORM This dorm comes with a large en-suite bathroom. Highspeed WiFi. All beds are cushioned with a 9 inch spring mattress which guarantees a good night sleep. Personal bedside reading lamp, plug point & USB port to charge those essential handheld devises. Individual Lockers that will easily fit in a large backpack. FAMILY ROOM This spacious and airy room has two single beds and one bunk bed that sleeps 4. En-suite bathroom with hot water. Free highspeed Wifi. GETTING THERE

When traveling to Ella, we recommend you do it by train. The gentle climb can best be described as out of this world, thanks to the jaw dropping sceneries that surround you. From lush green hilltops, rocky mountains and waterfalls, to steep valleys just inches away from your train – it will be a ride to remember.
There are three ways of getting to Ella by train – via Ratnapura, via Kandy and via Nuwara Eliya. The Ratnapura-route is the most scenic of the three. Once you get to Ella train station, you are just 10 minutes away from the Hostel. There is a prominent signboard which signifies that you are within close proximity to Hangover Hostels.
In case you’ve opted for the journey by bus, walk towards the shopping district and you’ll be near the train station.

Direction
